Lake George Land Conservancy Winter Warm-Up

The last scheduled winter event of the season with the Lake George Land Conservancy will take place this Saturday, March 23 at the Lake George Recreation Center/Berry Pond Preserve. 

Saturday, March 23; 9 am – 1 pm

This FREE event is in its third year. Join in all the family-fun while enjoying the trail system at the Berry Pond Preserve. There will be live raptor demonstrations, educational touch-tables, soups, hot chocolate and kids crafts.  
Winter Warm Up SCHEDULE:
9 - 11 am: Breakfast treats, coffee & hot chocolate available
9:30 am: Forest Pests - Save Our Trees! with Warren Co. Cornell Cooperative Extension
10 am: Live Raptor presentation by Wendy Hall, Adk Wildlife Refuge & Rehab Center
11 am: Easy interpretive nature hike
11:30 - 1 pm: Lunch is available - locally made soups and bread
12 pm: Live Raptor presentation by Nancy Kimball, North Country Wild Care
12:30 pm: Reading books by the fire

ALL DAY: DEC and ECO rescue vehicles; make-and-take crafts; nature scavenger hunt; maple syrup display; hands-on streams morphology; animal pelts and bones; storytelling by the fire; check in at the LGLC booth for DOOR PRIZES!
