Lake Placid Golden Skates Marathon December 7-9

The Lake Placid Golden Skates Marathon, formerly known as the Lake Placid Marathon and the Dimon Sports Marathon, is a new event taking place in Lake Placid, NY on December 7-9 at the historic 400m Olympic Speed Skating Oval used during the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains.

This new event is named for the hand-crafted 14-karat gold jewelry awards that the winning skaters (male and female) will receive, made by from Devillt Studios in Jay NY.

The marathon is part of the Marathon Skating International (MSI) series and sanctioned by US Speedskating.  This year's awards will be based on cumulative points over the three distances. The races will take place over three days with distances including a 10km, 21km and 42km pack, marathon style race.

This event is free to spectators! There is no admission for this event. Enjoy!
