Adirondack Weekend Highlights for November 17-18, 2018

It's snowing! The weather people were right and that Nor'easter brought snow by the feet. In addition to all the fun events happening, there are plenty of great places to work out your Nordic ski kinks or test out your winter gear. Whiteface Ski Resort is open for the season and putting all the fluffy snow to good use.

Being prepared for winter is a bit more than having the best skis. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, which means to layer it on. Drink plenty of water, and always tell someone where you are going - especially if it's off the beaten  path. Enjoy the snow!

This weekend brings a close to two shows Pendragon Theatre's The Turn of the Screw and LPCA's The Junglebook.  To get you in the holiday spirit there are plenty of Christmas craft fairs as well as Santa's Workshop Winter Weekends. Enjoy ice skating at one the indoor rinks or or perhaps you want to brave the Adirondack lakes for the annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics! Enjoy!
