Adirondack History Museum in Elizabethtown, NY
Recently I had written about 10 charity programs that allow you to donate money without spending an extra cent. Now a different type of online service is allowing nonprofits to host online auctions to further help raise much needed funds.

The Adirondack History Museum in Elizabethtown, NY has set a lofty goal of raising $8,000 to support the museum's collections, exhibits, education and outreach programs. A fun and different way to help them reach their goal is to check out and bid on the various items from this auction website, Bidding For Good.

This Essex County New York museum is also the home to the Essex County Historical Society, the Brewster Research Library, the Colonial Garden as well as the local summer Farmers' Market. The Museum itself welcomes over 10,000 visitors each year to view its unique collection including a complete Adirondack fire tower.
The Adirondack History Museum has chosen the online auction site, Bidding For Good, as the online presence to help them reach their goal. Based out of Cambridge, MA Bidding For Good provides a variety of pricing options through an annual subscription fee, but small organizations (schools and non-profits) may want to start small with the FREE version.

So far there are 36 items available to preview before the start of the May 1st auction. There are only 10 days for supporters and visitors of the Adirondack History Museum to bid on the various auction items. The auction will close May 10.

A sneak peak includes: a stay in a custom yurt overlooking the Adirondack Great Range, 18-hole golf pass,  a season pass to the Recovery Lounge, original art work from such renowned names as Bill Evans, Carl Heilman II, Iain Whitecross as well as dinners, B&B stays and gift certificates.

Have fun!
