Happy 4th of July! Many towns around the Adirondacks have full day celebrations with face painting, contests and even barbeques. Some towns have live music preceding the firework display while others have parades to celebrate our heroes of war.
Ticonderoga boasts the “Best 4th in the North” with bed races, parade, carnival rides and live music. Not to be outdone, Long Lake’s 4th of July events start at 10:00 a.m. at the town’s ball field with sack races, egg toss and bed races of its own.
A few other fun events around the Park are the annual Ping-Pong ball drop at Inlet’s Fern Park and Kidde Parade in Saranac Lake.
