The Adirondack Weekend Highlights for September 16-18, 2011. Tropical Storm Irene is being cleaned up around the High Peaks, Catskills and other areas of the Adirondacks. As resilient as the Adirondack Mountains are so are the people that live, work and play here. Businesses are open, events and activities are proceeding as planned. 


Have a great weekend from the Adirondack Park! There are a variety of activities and events happening around the Adirondack region this weekend that are great family fun! In the Adirondack High Peaks take your children to a Teddy Bear Picnic. In the southern Adirondacks and Lake George its the annual Jazz FestivalAround Lake Champlain watch or attend the annual Rockeater Obstacle Race . The Central Adirondacks features the Adirondack Museum's Fiber Fest!
