Adirondack Family Calendar of Events: What to do May 6-8, 2011

By Diane Chase

The Adirondack Weekend Highlights for May 6-8, 2011.

It has been a crazy week with almost biblical rain. Thankfully it has not yet been forty days of rain. My heart goes out to all those suffering from flooding.

Today the sun is shining and the puddles drying up. Our resident robin is getting fat off the worms on the ground and our field of moles is aerating our lawn.

Here are some highlights happening around the Adirondacks.  In the High Peaks region Pendragon Theatre has a series of events with a Wine Tasting tonight and opening of their family show on Sunday. (Keep in mind that mothers go FREE) as well as other fun events. Lake Champlain area has pig roasts, doggy fun events and FREE comic book day. Around the Central Adirondacks take in a new show at the Old Forge Art Center or learn mosaic techniques and create a treasure. North Creek in the Southern Adirondacks is hosting its second Adirondack Adventure Day!  Have a Happy Mother's Day
