A Global Work Day to promote clean energy is the happening this weekend, kick started by environmentalist Bill McKibben’s 350.org. To date there are 6,846 events in 188 countries celebrating climate change solutions. What is happening in your neighborhood?

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Environmental clubs from Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake will host a Global Work Day and Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pancakes, sausage, coffee and cider will be served from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger, with seconds for anyone who brings their own plate, glass and utensils.
