8/8: AAirborne Speedway: Local car club display their beautiful collection of antique and street rods plus the ever popular burn out contest.

8/8 11:00 a.m. (free) "Green Up", Peggy Lynn & Dan Duggan's Children's Program on Nature, Boathouse Theatre, Schroon Lake
8/8: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (free) Ballard Park, Westport Heritage House & Marina Waterfront. Featuring 400 years of boats, music, raffles, auctions, vendors, food, and displays and ending with fireworks.
8/8: 3:00 p.m.-5p.m. Ice Cream Social at 1812 Homestead Farm & Museum in Willsboro
8/8: 10;00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (free) Jay Day JEMS Jay Day. A Day full of Crafters and Family Fun on the Village Green in Jay

8/7: 6-8 PM Ice Cream Social and the performance of the Cincinnati Creek Blue Grass Band at the Croghan Ice Rink
8/7/-8/9: Little Falls Canal Days Celebration
8/8 Old Tymes Day on Main Street in Beaver Falls pancake breakfast 8 am, fun run and frog jumping contest 10 am, craft fair, food, silent auction, entertainment, kids crafts and games 11 am, parade at noon, soap box derby and petting zoo 1 pm, boat race 3 pm, rope pull 4 pm, movie on the lawn at dusk, and Adirondack Playboys dance at the fire hall 7-11 pm!

St. Lawrence:

8/9/2009 - 8/14/2009 Heros' Week at Great Escape! All military personnel, teachers, police officers, fire department, nurses and EMS personnel will receive free admission to The Great Escape when they show occupational identification at our main gate and are accompanied by a paid guest. In addition, up to six guests accompanied by a hero will receive $10 off the general admission ticket price ($40.99, plus tax).
8/9: 11:00 a.m. - ? (free) Sticky Wicket Croquet Games & Picnic, Warren County Fish Hatchery. Picnic and croquet games! Admission is free, and all are encouraged to wear period dress or their garden party hat (though it's not mandatory). Chicken and beverages will be provided, but feel free to bring a dish to pass. Entering in the Tournament gets you a chance to win the prestigious Sticky Wicket Trophy. There is a $5.00 entry fee for Tournament play.
